Humming Bird Cottage

Humming Bird Cottage is a barn conversion at Folke, near Sherborne, on a property with shared grounds. A gate at the edge of those grounds leads onto a network of footpaths. It sleeps four in two bedrooms.

The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area has a beamed ceiling, an electric fire with a wood-burner effect, a TV with DVD and a dining table for four. The kitchen corner has an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a washer/dryer. The double bedroom has a four-poster bed and a door to the outside seating area, and the second bedroom is a bunk room. One bathroom with a shower and WC serves both.

The cottage has its own unenclosed garden with a patio, lawn and furniture. Beyond it are extensive shared gardens with two lakes and a children's play area with a climbing frame and slide. A shared indoor heated pool gives each cottage a designated two-hour slot a day, with sole use, and the times are shown in the cottage on arrival.

One dog is allowed, with additional charges, and dogs are asked to be kept on leads in the shared grounds. A cot and highchair are available. The pub and shop are 0.5 miles away and the beach is 30 miles. It suits a family with two children who want a pool and space to play without leaving the grounds.
