The Cow Shed - Saxon Maybank

The Cow Shed is a recently converted barn at Bradford Abbas, near Sherborne, in a small gated complex of similar properties. A shared gravel drive and external steps lead to the front door.

Inside, a vaulted open-plan room holds the kitchen, dining space and a lounge with a Smart TV and DVD player. The kitchen has an induction hob, a dishwasher and a Tassimo coffee machine, and a utility area has a washer/dryer. The main bedroom has a super-king-size bed and an en-suite with a large walk-in shower. The second has twin beds that can be made up as a super-king-size on request, with a matching en-suite. A third shower room off the utility area is handy after the hot tub. A welcome pack includes robes and slippers.

The front terrace is reached from the living area or the main bedroom. It holds a private hot tub and patio furniture, and on a clear day looks across to Golden Cap. Off-road parking for two cars is in front of the barn. Electric vehicle charging is available by arrangement with the owner. A travel cot and highchair can be had on request.

Dogs are not allowed. The pub and shop are 2 miles away and the beach is 18.5 miles. The barn suits two couples, or one couple who like space and a hot tub. It can be booked alongside Stags Retreat for a larger party, subject to availability, and a discount is available when both are taken together.
