Uplands

Uplands is a first-floor eaves apartment above the owner's property in Over Compton, three miles from both Yeovil and Sherborne, on the border of Dorset and Somerset. It sleeps four. The pub is a 10 minute walk away and the nearest shop is 2 miles off.

The double bedroom has an en-suite shower, basin and WC, with doors onto a decked balcony that looks over the nearby paddocks. The second bedroom is a twin, and a separate bathroom has a bath, basin and WC. The balcony and the patio both come with furniture. The small fitted kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge and a washing machine, and the sitting room includes a dining area. There are three TVs, a DVD player, WiFi, and a selection of books and games.

Oil central heating, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. A cot and highchair are available on request, and off-road parking is for three cars. No pets are allowed. The owner has two dogs, and there are horses, hens, a peacock and guinea fowl on site.

The minimum stay is three nights, night workers cannot be accepted, non-commercial bookings are not accepted without proper arrangement, and the apartment is non-smoking. It suits a couple or a small family who like a rural setting and do not mind sharing the site with the owner's animals.
