The Cowshed At Caswell

The Cowshed at Caswell is a restored barn down a quiet lane at Ryme Intrinseca, near Sherborne, with grassland around it and a working farm close by. It sleeps four in two bedrooms, and everything is on a single storey.

Each bedroom has a super-king-size bed, exposed beams, shutters and a Smart TV. Both are en-suite: one has a shower over the bath, the other a wet room. One of the beds is a zip-and-link that can be set up as twins if you ask when booking. The living area has a vaulted ceiling, underfloor heating, a Smart TV with DVD and an iPod dock. The kitchen has a dishwasher, a washing machine, a fridge/freezer and a Nespresso machine that takes original pods only.

Outside is an enclosed gravelled garden with a south-facing patio, sun loungers, a fire pit and a charcoal barbecue. There is a secure shed for bikes and surfboards, an outside tap for muddy boots and paws, and ample off-road parking. There are no handrails in the property.

Two dogs are allowed, and additional charges may apply. A pub and shops are 1 mile away and the beach is 15 miles, so the coast is a drive. The barn suits two couples sharing, or a family of four, who want a rural base with a garden for the dogs.
