Dorset Hideaway

Dorset Hideaway sits in a courtyard of character buildings in Symondsbury, near Bridport and Eype, and it sleeps four. The entrance is through a picket gate, and walking routes lead directly from the property into the surrounding countryside. The market town of Bridport and the harbour at West Bay are within easy reach. Parking is not at the door: the nearest space is in a free public car park about 50 metres away, subject to availability, though you can unload directly outside the cottage.

The ground floor is a lounge/diner with a wood burner (first basket of logs included) and a TV. The kitchen leads off it and has an electric oven and hob, a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher and a microwave. Upstairs are two bedrooms. One has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed that can be arranged as a twin on request, and next to it is a double with an en-suite shower and WC. The bathroom has a hand-held shower and a WC.

Two compact courtyard gardens, one at the front and one at the back, give you somewhere to sit out with a drink. Two dogs are allowed, and additional charges may apply. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out before 10am.

The cottage suits two couples or a small family who are happy to park in a public car park rather than at the door.
