One-bedroom cottage for two with wood burner and terraced garden

Dorset Nook is a one-bedroom cottage at the end of a terrace in Symondsbury, near Bridport and Eype. It sleeps two. The main door is at the back, so you go through a picket gate and round to the rear to reach it. The village has a pub, artists' workshops and tea rooms, and the market town of Bridport, with its shops and arts scene, is within reach.

Inside, a galley-style kitchen has a gas hob, an electric oven, a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave and a washer/dryer. A doorway leads into the lounge/diner, which has a wood burner (the first basket of logs is included) and a TV, with the dining space opposite. Winding stairs climb to the only bedroom, a super-king-size zip-and-link bed that can be set up as a twin on request, with a dressing area, a TV and an en-suite bathroom holding a bath, a separate shower and a WC.

At the back is a terraced garden with a table for drinks outside. Roadside parking is at the front of the cottage, subject to availability, so it is not guaranteed. Two dogs are allowed, and additional charges may apply. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out before 10am.

The bedroom and bathroom are both up that winding staircase. The cottage suits a couple, and a couple with a dog in particular.
