Dudley Cottage - Stoke Knapp Farm

Dudley Cottage is one of three 19th-century farm buildings converted into holiday cottages at Stoke Knapp Farm, a working farm at Stoke Abbott, near Beaminster. It sleeps two, with a single double bedroom, so it is set up for a couple.

The living space is open plan, with exposed stone walls, ceiling beams and skylights. It has a wood burner (the first basket of logs is supplied) and a Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge with freezer box, and a travel cot and highchair are available. The bedroom has a four-poster bed and an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower and WC.

Out at the front is a private patio with outdoor dining furniture. The courtyard is landscaped, enclosed and shared, and its levels vary, so take care on it. There is off-road parking for one car, and EV charging is available, paid for directly through an app. The farm entrance has CCTV, which is there to protect equipment and livestock.

The pub or restaurant is 1 mile away, the nearest shop is 3 miles and the beach is 8 miles, so a car is useful. Dogs are not allowed. The cottage suits a couple who want a farm setting and are happy to drive for shopping and the coast.
