Heartsease Cottage

Heartsease Cottage is a detached former stable behind the owners' own cottage in Stoke Abbott, near Beaminster. A drive shared only with the owners leads to a private entrance. The booking is for two guests.

Inside, one step down brings you into the hallway and two more into the ground-floor lounge and dining room, which has a wood burner, two armchairs and a TV with DVD player. A double bed sits in the corner of this room and can be partly screened off. The hallway also has the shower room and a galley kitchen with an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a Tassimo coffee machine (pods not included) and a washing machine. Upstairs are a second lounge with TV and DVD and a king-size bedroom.

A small terrace at the front has garden furniture and looks over the cottage garden, which is shared with the owners. Guests also have a small private patch beside the cottage, with seating, a charcoal BBQ and a shed with a sofa that can be used from Easter to the end of October. Off-road parking is for one car, with a further space on the village lane, subject to availability.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, with additional charges that may apply, and are asked not to foul the lawn. The shop is 2 miles away, the pub 1.5 miles and the beach 6.5 miles. The cottage suits a couple, perhaps with dogs, who are happy to climb a staircase to the king-size bedroom.
