Fisherman's Cottage

Fisherman's Cottage is a detached 18th-century house in Southwell, on Portland, about a mile from the Portland Bill lighthouse. It stands in a quiet village near the coast path, and the house and the garden both have sea views. Inside are a sun room, a kitchen, a utility room and a living/dining room with a fire, plus an oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

Upstairs are three bedrooms, a double with an en-suite walk-in shower, a second double and a twin, each with a digital TV, and a bathroom with a bath and a shower over it. Central heating is fitted, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included, but beach and hot tub towels are not. Cots and highchairs can be hired if you ask when booking.

The walled side and rear garden has patio areas, a lawn, furniture, planting and a hot tub. Parking is on the road, first come, first served. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 10am. The pub is 200 metres away and the shop 0.9 miles.

Stays must be at least three nights, and a refundable good-housekeeping bond is payable. Pets and smoking are not allowed. The cottage suits a family or a group of friends of up to six who want a hot tub and a sea view.
