Sunset Lodge

Sunset Lodge is a three-bedroom apartment in Fortuneswell, on the Isle of Portland, spread over the first and second floors. There is no garden. A balcony with furniture looks out over Chesil Beach, with sea views. The three bedrooms are all on the first floor: two king-size rooms, one with an en-suite walk-in shower, and a twin. A first-floor bathroom has a bath, a separate shower, a basin and a WC.

The kitchen/diner is on the first floor and the sitting room, with an electric fire, is on the second. There is a utility room on the ground floor, and the appliances include an oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine and a dishwasher. A TV, DVD player and WiFi are provided, gas central heating is fitted, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are in the rent. A travel cot and highchair are available on request, though guests bring their own cot linen.

Access is by stairs. Thirteen steep stairs rise from the hallway to the first floor, with a rail on the right-hand side, and more lead up to the sitting room. The right-hand garage is used for parking and measures 8 ft by 8 ft 6 in, and the left-hand garage is locked to guests. A small public car park in front of the property, one opposite and on-street parking are other options, subject to availability. The shop is 0.3 miles away, the pub 0.1 miles and the beach 0.1 miles.

Pets and smoking are not allowed. With three bedrooms and a sitting room on the top floor, the apartment suits a group of friends or a family who are comfortable on stairs.
