Fountain Cottage

Fountain Cottage is attached to an old Rectory in the village of Radipole, where the owner lives. It stands in three acres of grounds within a Conservation Area, on the road through the village, with the town of Weymouth nearby. The cottage is all on one floor, with one step down.

A woodburning stove sits in the sitting room, which has a dining area, and logs are provided all year as part of the rent. The kitchen has a breakfast table for two, an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a washer-dryer and a dishwasher. The one bedroom has a king-size bed, and the bathroom has a corner bath with a hand-held shower. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included, and a cot is available on request if guests bring cot linen.

The garden has furniture and a barbecue, with three small steps down to the table and chairs. Parking is private, for one car, at the end of the drive. The Wey Valley walks pass by the back gate at an old stone bridge, and Radipole Lake RSPB bird sanctuary is a few minutes away. A shop and pub are a five-minute drive. Pets and smoking are not allowed.

It is best for a couple who want a quiet cottage with a fire and a garden, and a base for walking.
