Fox Cottage - Notton Hill Barns

Fox Cottage is an 18th-century flint and stone barn conversion in Notton, near Dorchester, with Frampton nearby. It is one of four adjoining properties at the end of a long drive that runs through a working farm and is unmade in places. Upstairs are four bedrooms: a super-king that can be set up as twin beds if you ask when booking, a double and two singles, so six can stay. It suits a family, or a group of friends, of up to six. Dogs are not allowed.

A hallway runs past the first bathroom to an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner. The lounge is built around a fireplace with a wood burner, with the first basket of logs included, and a Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge freezer and a dishwasher. One bathroom has a shower over the bath and a WC, and the other has a bath and a WC. A shared laundry room has two washing machines and a tumble dryer. A highchair and travel cot are available, but linen is not supplied.

French doors open to a private patio with furniture and a charcoal BBQ, beside an open lawn. A shared games room has a table that converts for pool, table tennis and air hockey, a dart board, and a selection of board games and books. Bicycles can be stored securely on request, and the water supply is private.

Parking is off-road in front of the cottage. The dedicated EV charger is 7.6kW and untethered, used by app or with the RFID fob supplied, and additional costs apply. CCTV covers the games room, the drive and the parking area, and the green space is obscured from recording in the holiday season. The beach is 7 miles away, and the shop and pub are 2 miles.
