Frankham Farm

Frankham Farm is a converted stone barn in the middle of a 500-acre organic working farm at Ryme Intrinseca, near Sherborne. The main building sleeps six in three bedrooms, and a separate annexe across the courtyard sleeps two more, with its own entrance, lounge, kitchen/diner and king-size bedroom.

The main living space is open plan under a vaulted ceiling, with a wood burner, a Smart TV and a kitchen with a dishwasher. The three main bedrooms have a super-king-size, a king-size and a 2' 6" twin, all zip-and-link, so the layout can be changed on request. Two have en-suite shower rooms and the third has a bathroom opposite. The annexe bedroom has a bath, a separate shower and a WC.

The courtyard holds a hot tub, furniture and a charcoal barbecue. Across it, a games room has table tennis, air hockey, a dartboard, a pool table and a bar area, and a laundry area has a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Guests can use the shared tennis court and borrow rackets. A one-acre paddock is set aside for picnics and dog walks, and four walking routes start on the doorstep. EV charging is on site, paid for separately with the owner.

Two dogs are allowed, with additional charges. Parking is off-road for four cars. The owners' gardens open to the public four days a year for the National Garden Scheme, usually in mid-March, late April, early June and mid-October, so there may be extra activity on the farm then. The pub is 1.5 miles away. It suits two families or a group of friends who want a farm base with plenty to do on site.
