Old Orchard Melbury Osmond

Old Orchard is a detached house for seven in the village of Melbury Osmond, in Dorset, within reach of Sherborne. Its triple-aspect lounge has an open fire, with the first basket of logs included, a Smart TV and French doors to the garden. Double doors lead to the dining room.

The kitchen/diner has an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, a microwave, an air fryer and a table for breakfast or supper, and a utility room holds the washing machine. The snug has a desk, a TV with DVD player and a selection of books. The garage holds a games room with a table tennis table, and the freezer. Upstairs, two doubles, a family room with a double and a single bed, and a single with a pull-out guest bed make up the four bedrooms. One double has an en-suite shower room, and the family bathroom has a bath, a shower attachment and a separate shower cubicle.

The enclosed garden is mostly lawn, with a covered decked patio, furniture and a charcoal barbecue. Parking at the front takes up to three cars. Three dogs are allowed, with additional charges. The pubs and shops are 3 miles away and the beaches are 18 miles. The house is for holiday use only: company and commercial bookings are not accepted.

It suits a family or friends who want space indoors and out, and a house they can stay in on a wet day.
