Hamilton House

Hamilton House is a 17th-century Grade II listed townhouse painted green, in the centre of Lyme Regis. It rises through four floors and keeps its wooden roofbeams. The kitchen and dining room are at ground level with a utility room, and the sitting room is on the first floor, with leather sofas and an ornamental fireplace.

The bedrooms are spread up the building. A twin and the bathroom, which has a bath with a shower over it, are on the first floor. The second floor has a king-size with another ornamental fireplace, a second twin and a shower room with a cubicle. At the top, the third-floor king-size has sloping white walls and a skylight, and the third floor also has a snug. The house takes six adults, or eight if some of the party are children.

Appliances include an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included, and the heating is gas. The closest pub is 0.1 miles away, the closest shop 0.3.

Parking is in a public car park a short walk from the house, payable on site and subject to availability. One well-behaved medium dog is welcome, smoking is not allowed, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. It suits a multigenerational family or a group of friends who can manage four floors of stairs.
