Hurdlemakers Hut

Hurdlemakers Hut is a shepherd's hut on the outskirts of Piddletrenthide, and it is adults only, sleeping two. The single-storey studio puts a king-size bed, a kitchenette and a seating area with a woodburning stove in one space, with no separate bedroom. Fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Outside is decking with furniture, a gas barbecue, a fire pit and a freestanding bathtub. Off-road parking is provided.

The kitchenette has a two-ring gas hob, a microwave, a fridge, a kettle and a toaster, with a radio and WiFi for company. The shower room has a walk-in shower, a basin, a heated towel rail and a WC.

Everything is on one level inside, but four steps lead up to the property, which may not suit anyone with mobility problems. One small dog is welcome, and smoking is not allowed inside the hut. Changeover days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with check-in at 4pm and check-out at 10am. The pub is 1.4 miles away and the shop 4.6 miles. Spindleberry Hut and Tokenhill Cottage, which sleeps six, can be booked in conjunction with this hut. It suits a couple who want a compact base, perhaps with a small dog.
