Lynwood Lodge - The Garden Room

The Garden Room is a single-storey cabin for two, set high on the hillside above the A353 at Osmington, near Weymouth, and one of four properties in the same development. The way up is a long, steep, sloping pedestrian path or a flight of external steps, then a raised deck and more steps to a gravelled terrace and a picket gate.

Inside is a single studio-style room divided into living, cooking and sleeping areas, with a double bed, a seating area facing the TV and a kitchen corner. The kitchen area has an electric oven and hob and a fridge. A door leads to the en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

Outside the main doors is a raised deck, and below it a gravel terrace with furniture, an enclosed veranda and the hot tub. On a clear day the view runs across the hills and the bay. The one off-road parking space is in a shared parking area about 30 metres downhill. The beach is 2 miles away, and the pub and shop are within half a mile.

One dog is allowed, and additional charges may apply. No children or infants under 18. Check-in is from 16:00 and departure is before 10:00. It suits a couple who are happy to carry bags up a steep path and want a hot tub and a view in return.
