Malabar House

Malabar House is a Grade II listed house with a Georgian front in the old part of Lyme Regis, with the beach and a pub 0.1 miles away and a shop 0.2 miles. It sleeps eight in four bedrooms on the first floor. The super-king-size room and two king-size rooms each have an en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC. The fourth bedroom is a twin that uses the family bathroom, which has a bath and a handheld shower.

The ground floor has a drawing room with a Tudor fireplace, a formal dining room, a garden sitting room and a kitchen with an informal dining area. The kitchen has a dual-fuel range cooker, an American double fridge-freezer, a microwave and a dishwasher, and a utility room holds a washer dryer. French doors open onto a walled courtyard garden with a table and chairs. There are steps in the courtyard. A welcome hamper is provided.

The house has no parking of its own. A permit covers one car in Woodmead Car Park, around five to seven minutes' walk away, and any further cars use long-stay parking five to ten minutes away, with charges. One small or medium well-behaved dog is welcome. Smoking is not allowed, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. A security camera covers the front entrance at all times, and a second inside the hall is switched off while guests are in residence. Short breaks over Christmas are quoted individually. The house suits two families or a group of friends who are happy to walk to the car.
