Overton Island 23

Overton Island 23 is a lakeside lodge at Crossways, near Dorchester and close to Warmwell, with its own jetty onto the water. Sliding doors from the lounge open onto enclosed rear decking, which has seating for eight and a charcoal BBQ and looks across the lake towards Wakeling Island. The pub, shop and cafes are within 1 mile and the beach is 5 miles away.

The living area is open plan, with a corner sofa, a wood burner and a kitchen that has an island and breakfast bar seating. The kitchen has a hob, an oven, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a fridge/freezer. A dining table seats eight, and a cloakroom sits downstairs.

All four bedrooms are upstairs. The master has an en-suite shower room, and the second double has its own en-suite as well as access to the full-width balcony over the lake, which the master also opens onto. The remaining rooms are a compact double and a bunk bedroom, and a family bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower.

Parking for one car is at the property, on a gravel driveway at the side of the lodge, with an EV charging point and further parking nearby. A refundable security deposit is paid direct to the site, and access to the pool and spa is payable on arrival. No dogs are allowed. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is before 10am. The lodge suits a family or friends of up to eight who want to be on the water, with a bunk room for the younger ones.
