Swyre

Swyre is a lodge on a private estate at Crossways, near Dorchester and close to Warmwell, with four bedrooms for eight. The open-plan living space is Scandinavian in style. A dining table that seats eight sits beside large sliding doors, the kitchen has a breakfast bar, an induction hob, an electric oven, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, and the lounge has a Smart TV and a wood burner.

All four bedrooms are upstairs. The two king-size rooms have en-suite shower rooms and open onto a balcony that overlooks the nature garden. The other two are a double and a bunk room, and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath serves the floor.

The garden at the back is enclosed and spacious, with generous decking, a BBQ and dining furniture, and it adjoins a neighbouring nature garden. Dogs have room to explore. Parking is for one car, with more in the main car park. The shop and pub are 0.5 miles away and the beach is 6.5 miles.

Up to three dogs are welcome, with additional charges that may apply. The estate has a spa with a heated outside swimming pool, a sauna and a cold plunge, as well as water sports, mountain biking and fishing. Equipment hire runs from Easter to October half-term, and some sessions must be booked in advance. Access to the pool and spa is payable on arrival, and a refundable security deposit is paid direct to the site. The lodge suits a large family or two families sharing, travelling with dogs.
