The Nook

The Nook is a Scandinavian-style cottage in a holiday village of lakes and nature reserve at Crossways, near Dorchester and close to Warmwell, 6 miles from Dorchester. The ground floor is open plan, with a kitchen that has an induction hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a fridge/freezer and a washer/dryer. A dining area seats eight, and the lounge has a wood burner and a TV.

The four bedrooms are upstairs: three doubles and a bunk room. Two of the doubles open onto a private balcony with countryside views. The family bathroom has a bath and a WC, and two of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms.

The garden has a lawn and a furnished patio with a BBQ. A gravelled driveway leads to the back entrance, where parking is for one car, and further spaces are in the main car park.

Up to three dogs are allowed, with additional charges that may apply. Shared estate leisure covers water sports, tennis, games, bike rental and nature trails, and the spa has a heated outdoor pool, a sauna and treatments for an extra charge. There is a restaurant on site, with private dining available. Access to the pool and spa is payable on arrival, and a refundable security deposit is paid direct to the site. Hen and stag parties are not permitted. The cottage suits a family or friends who want a lawn for the children and a dog, with a balcony upstairs.
