Porthole Penthouse is a first-floor apartment for two in Swanage, 400 yards from the town. Pubs and shops are within half a mile. Children are not accepted and dogs are not allowed.

From the entrance hall, a curved staircase leads up to the open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area, which has a double-height ceiling and a large porthole window with sea views. The kitchen has granite worktops, a hob, an oven, a fridge with an ice-box, a microwave, a dishwasher, a washer/dryer and a Nespresso machine. The living space is triple aspect, and the lounge has a Smart TV. There is a Bluetooth sound system, and no telephone.

The bedroom has a 5ft double bed and sea views, a door that opens onto the terrace, and an en-suite shower room with its own porthole window and sea views. The apartment has one bedroom, so it sleeps two.

French doors from the lounge lead to the private rooftop terrace, which has rattan furniture. Parking is one off-road space in the car-port. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out before 10am. The apartment suits a couple without children who want sea views from the sofa and the bed, and an outdoor space of their own.
