Poundbarn

Poundbarn is a converted barn 1.5 miles from Corfe Castle, where the pub and shops are. It sleeps up to eleven, and occupancy is strictly limited to that number. There are five bedrooms, one of them a twin. There are three bathrooms: a family bathroom with a bath, shower and WC, a shower room, and an en-suite shower room, plus two separate WCs.

The ground floor has a lounge with a wood burner, a dining room with a bespoke table seating up to 12, and an open-plan games room with pub-style table football, board games and toys for younger children. The kitchen has an electric double oven, an induction hob, an American-style fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a microwave, with a washing machine in the utility area. An office has super-fast Wi-Fi. The self-contained annexe has its own private entrance and can also be reached through the snug in the main house. It has a shower room, a lounge with a wood burner and a fully equipped kitchen. Confirm how the annexe is set up for sleeping when booking. The wood burners are for winter use, with the first basket of logs supplied. Heating is oil fired.

The enclosed garden has a lawn, a patio with furniture and a barbecue, and a veranda that opens from the dining room. Ponies live in the enclosed paddock, which is kept locked, though guests can still pet them. Parking takes six cars, with more on request. Dogs are not allowed. Stag and hen parties are not accepted, and drones are not permitted. It suits two or three families, or a group of friends, who want the annexe for some privacy. Arrival is from 4pm and departure is before 10am.
