Rainbarrow Cottage

Rainbarrow Cottage is a split-level cottage in Worth Matravers, close to Langton Matravers. The pub is less than 0.5 miles away, the shop is 2 miles and Swanage is 3 miles. It sleeps seven in four bedrooms, and children under the age of 5 are not accepted.

Open stairs go from the small entrance hall to the first floor, and steps lead down to the kitchen, where a large table has plenty of seating. Off the dining area, a small lobby serves a double bedroom, a single bedroom and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. A twin bedroom is by the front door. Upstairs, the large lounge has sea views and an open fire, with logs and coal provided free from October to 30 April but no firelighters or kindling. The last flight reaches the second double bedroom, a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a galleried study. Stairs and steps are steep throughout. A utility room has a tumble drier, there are a washing machine and a dishwasher, and a TV/DVD is in both lounges.

The garden has seating, a BBQ and a terrace. There is room for two cars off the road. Wi-Fi is for email and web browsing only. Bookings of two, three or four weeks get a change of linen and towels on the changeover day. The cottage takes one dog, with additional charges possible. Check-in is at 15:00 or later and check-out is before 10:00. The cottage suits a family with older children, or a group of adults, who can manage steep stairs.
