Seasons - Motcombe

Seasons is a two-bedroom cottage in Motcombe, a Dorset village with a community shop 0.3 miles away and a pub 1 mile off. It sleeps four. One bedroom has a king-size bed, the other a twin pair of 2ft 6in zip-and-link beds that can be set up as a king on request, and both have a Juliet balcony and a Smart TV with Netflix.

The private entrance opens into a hall with a downstairs cloakroom and a utility cupboard holding the washing machine. From there you reach an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with a wood burner (the first basket of logs is included) and a snug with a Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a coffee pod machine. Upstairs are the two bedrooms, an en-suite shower room and a second bathroom with a shower over the bath. Heating is by an air source pump.

Bi-fold doors open from the lounge into a fully enclosed garden with a patio, rattan furniture and a double-burner gas BBQ, looking over pasture and Kingsettle Wood. Parking at the front is suitable for two cars, and EV charging is paid for directly to the owners. Bikes can be stored in the garage if you tell the owner in advance. A travel cot and highchair are available, though cot bed linen is not provided, and a stairgate is supplied for the stairs.

The owners take up to two dogs, with possible extra charges. Two-night stays are only available during Longleat's Festival of Light in November and December. The cottage suits a couple, or two couples travelling together, who want a village base with a garden.
