St Gabriel's

St Gabriel's is a semi-detached cottage on a steep, secluded lane that leads to a small nature reserve, in Charmouth. The beach is half a mile away, the shop and pubs 400 metres, and Lyme Regis 2 miles. It sleeps five, and the minimum stay is three nights.

The kitchen has an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer and a dishwasher, and the lounge has a Smart TV and a dining area. A sunroom looks over the garden. The washing machine is in an outhouse, reached by six steps. The wood burner is not available for use at present.

Two bedrooms are on the first floor, a king-size with a window seat and a TV, and a single, and the bathroom has a shower over a small bath. A steep, narrow, winding staircase continues to the second floor, where the twin bedroom has a separate WC on that floor. Both second-floor rooms have low eaves.

The rear garden is enclosed, with paved seating areas, a BBQ and views across the countryside. Parking for one small or medium-sized car is on the gated drive, with more on the lane in the village when there is space. One dog is welcome but not upstairs, which is where all three bedrooms are. Children under five cannot stay. The cottage suits a couple or a small family with older children who want a secluded lane and a walk to the beach.
