The Cabin

The Cabin is a single-storey, studio-style cabin in Herston, a hamlet on the outskirts of Swanage and 1.3 miles from the town. It sits in a raised position with views across the countryside towards Swanage Beach and the town, and it stands on the Priests Way. The shop and pub are 0.4 miles away and the beach a mile. Swanage has pubs and cafes including the Black Swan Inn, The Salt Pig Too and Love Cake Cafe, and the Priests Way leads 3 miles on foot to the Square and Compass pub in Worth Matravers.

Kitchen, dining area, sitting area and king-size bed share one open-plan space, with French doors to the garden. There is an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with a freezer compartment, kettle and toaster, plus a TV and WiFi. The shower room has a walk-in shower, basin and WC. Solar panel heating, fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included.

Outside is a non-enclosed gravel area with furniture and a raised lawn with a firepit, looking over Purbeck countryside with the sea beyond. Parking is off-road for two cars, on a shared driveway. Check-in days are Fridays and Mondays. There are no pets and no smoking. It suits a couple who want a studio base with a firepit, within 1.3 miles of Swanage town.
