The Cart House

The Cart House is a converted former barn in the Dorset countryside around Wareham, surrounded by fields. It has five bedrooms, one of them in an annex across the garden. An extra single bed can be requested for an additional charge.

The lounge has a beamed ceiling, dual-aspect windows, sofas and chairs, a wood burner (first basket of logs included) and a TV/DVD. The kitchen and dining room has a large oak table that seats ten, with an electric oven and gas hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine. On the ground floor, a double bedroom has patio doors to the private garden and sits next to a bathroom with a shower over the bath.

A wooden staircase from the lounge leads to a galleried landing, a king-size bedroom, a twin, a single and a shower room. The fifth bedroom is a double in the annex, with its own en-suite shower room. The cottage has its own private water supply.

The private garden covers just under one acre, mostly lawn, with a small terraced seating area, garden furniture and a BBQ outside the rear patio doors. The driveway takes up to four cars. The beach is 6 miles away, and the pub and shop 2 miles. Two dogs are allowed and must be kept out of the bedrooms, and additional charges may apply. Confirm the pet policy when booking. The barn suits a large family or a group of friends who want a separate annex bedroom.
