The Coach House - Trinity Lodge

The Coach House is a renovated period building in Godmanstone, a village in the Dorset National Landscape listed at 2.6 miles from Cerne Abbas. The ground floor is a former stables that now works as a boot room for outdoor gear. From there, 15 steps lead up into the living space, so the property is a poor match for anyone who finds stairs hard.

Upstairs, the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. A window seat looks out over the ponds, and the living and dining area has exposed beams and a retro dining table. The one bedroom is a twin, which can be set up as a kingsize double on request, and the bathroom has a bath with a shower over. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Guests have access to a shared garden space, and there is off-road parking. One dog is allowed, and smoking is not. The nearest pub is 2.7 miles away and the nearest shop 3 miles, so you will want a car for supplies. A good-housekeeping bond is payable. It suits a couple, or two friends, who want a quiet base in the countryside with their dog.
