The Granary - Chideock

The Granary is a two-bedroom cottage in the village of Chideock, arranged over three floors and sleeping 4. The ground floor is one open-plan room with a beamed ceiling, an L-shaped sofa, a Smart TV, a wooden dining table and a wood burner, with patio doors out to the garden. The first basket of logs is supplied.

The kitchen end has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge with an icebox, a dishwasher and a washing machine. On the first floor are the twin bedroom, with wooden floors and whitewashed stone walls, and a separate WC. The double bedroom is on the second floor under a vaulted ceiling with exposed trusses and skylights, and the family bathroom, with a shower over the bath, is on the same floor. The cottage has low ceilings and exposed beams in places, so head height is restricted in some areas.

The courtyard garden is fully enclosed and has outdoor furniture. A shed outside holds a tumble dryer, and there is room to store bikes and beach gear. Private parking is for two cars: one space beside the cottage, and the courtyard can serve as a second. The pubs and the shop are 200 metres away and the beach is 1 mile off.

Two dogs are allowed, with an additional charge possible. It suits a couple, or a couple with a child or friend, who want an enclosed garden for dogs and are happy with a few flights of stairs.
