The Little House - West Melbury

The Little House at West Melbury is a single-storey home for two, in the Melbury Abbas area and about two miles from Shaftesbury. It stands next to the owner's home, though it has its own private entrance door.

The door opens into a single open-plan space, laid out for a couple. A galley-style kitchen runs along one side, with an electric oven, an induction hob, a microwave, a Nespresso machine, a fridge-freezer and a dishwasher. Beyond it are a wooden dining table and a sofa facing a Smart TV. The double bedroom is next door, and a compact shower room with shower and WC completes the accommodation.

Doors from both the bedroom and the living space open on to the garden. A patio has furniture and a charcoal BBQ, with a lawn and roped surrounds, and it looks out across the countryside. There is one off-road parking space. A shop and a pub are within 2 miles.

One dog is welcome, and additional charges may apply. Because of neighbouring livestock, the dog must be kept on a lead when outside. Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out before 10:00. It suits a couple who want a compact, private base and who travel in one car.
