The Old Pottery - Burton Bradstock

The Old Pottery is a small cottage for two adults in Burton Bradstock, on a no-through road. Children are not accepted, so it is an adults-only booking. You cross a shared courtyard garden at the front to reach the door, and the owner lives next door, which keeps a welcome close at hand while privacy is assured.

The ground floor is one open-plan space. At one end is a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, a microwave and an undercounter fridge/freezer. At the other is the lounge and dining area, with two armchairs, a dining table for two, a Smart TV and a selection of books. The double bedroom is upstairs and has an en-suite shower room with a heated towel rail and a WC.

The courtyard garden is shared and enclosed, with pots, roses and shrubs and a place to sit outside. Parking is off-road for one car in a shared two-space area. Electric cars cannot be charged at the property under any circumstances, and the nearest charging points are in West Bay and Bridport. Bicycles can be stored securely.

One dog is allowed, but not upstairs, and a freestanding stairgate is available. Extra charges may apply for the dog. The shop is 100 yards away, the pub 350 yards and the beach 500 yards. It suits a couple, with or without a dog, who want a quiet base to walk from.
