The View

The View is a contemporary house on Portland for up to six, spread over three floors, with views across Chesil Beach towards Lyme Bay and the West cliffs. Children under 11 are not accepted, and pets, smoking and vaping are not allowed.

Two twin bedrooms are on the ground floor, which also has a bathroom with a bath and shower, and the king-size double is on the second floor. Open-plan living on the first floor combines the kitchen, dining area and sitting area, and a first-floor shower room and a utility room complete the layout. Gas central heating, an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a washing machine and WiFi are provided, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included.

There is a small patio with stone seating and a table. Parking is off the road for one car, with roadside parking possible for a second car across the space. The house is reached along a narrow dead-end road directly outside. Chesil Beach and its promenade are a short walk away, the National Sailing Academy is a few minutes' on foot, and the pub is 5 minutes' walk and the shop 10.

A bond against damage is taken at booking and refunded after a satisfactory check-out. The View suits a group of friends who want bedrooms split between the ground and second floors and a view over the beach.
