The White House - Owermoigne

The White House stands on the A352 in Owermoigne, near Lulworth and close to Warmwell, on the main road between Wareham and Dorchester. Cars go on the off-road parking area, which has room for three and is reached through the garage forecourt. From there a slope and a set of steps lead to the front door.

The ground floor has a twin bedroom with double doors onto a veranda that wraps around the house, a bathroom with a shower over the bath, a lounge with a wood burner, and a kitchen-diner with an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a microwave. Logs for the burner can be bought from the adjacent petrol station. Upstairs are two king-size bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room and WC, and one of those en-suites has limited headroom.

A large patio sits directly outside the kitchen-diner, with garden furniture and a BBQ, and there is a small lawn. A lockable shed is available for bikes. Wi-Fi is included, as are bed linen and towels, though not beach towels. Smoking is not allowed.

Up to three dogs are welcome, with additional charges that may apply. The shop is within walking distance, while the beach and a pub are 5 miles away. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is before 10am. The house suits a family or friends of up to six guests, infants included, who want a base on the road between Wareham and Dorchester.
