The Yurt - Meadow View

Meadow View is a yurt on a holiday park at Whitchurch Canonicorum, and it sleeps two. A couple of steps go up to the UPVC door. Inside are a sofa, storage space and a dressing table to the side, plus a small fridge and tea and coffee-making facilities. The king-size bed is at the centre.

The yurt has no shower or WC of its own. A private, allocated shower room with a WC is a few metres away in the shared barn, within 50 metres, and the barn's fully equipped kitchen is shared between four glamping units. It has an electric oven, a hob, a fridge/freezer with labelled shelves, a washing machine and a coin-operated tumble dryer.

The decked area outside is raised and has furniture, a firepit, a barbecue and a hot tub for your use alone. Parking for one car is outside the yurt, off-road. Dogs are not allowed, and there is no Wi-Fi.

Guests can use a shared games barn with a pool table and table tennis and walk the 55 acres, which include two deep unfenced fishing ponds; fishing needs a rod licence from the Post Office and a fishing pass, which can be added when booking online or bought from reception on site. Free tractor rides run in summer. The shop is 3 miles away, the pub 2.5 miles and the beach 5 miles. The yurt best suits two people travelling by car who want an outdoor soak more than a bathroom next door.
