The Yurt - Paddock View

Paddock View is a yurt for two on a holiday park at Whitchurch Canonicorum. A few steps lead up to a UPVC door and into one room, with a sofa, a dressing table, plenty of storage, a small fridge and tea and coffee facilities. The king-size bed is in the middle of the yurt.

There is no bathroom in the yurt. Your own shower room, with a WC, is in a shared barn less than 50 metres away, and the barn also has a kitchen used by four glamping units, with an electric oven, hob, fridge/freezer with labelled shelves, a washing machine and a coin-operated tumble dryer. There is no Wi-Fi, and dogs are not allowed.

Outside, the raised deck has garden furniture, a firepit with a barbecue and a private hot tub. One car can be parked off-road just outside. The grounds run to 55 acres, with a shared games barn holding a pool table and table tennis, and free tractor rides in summer.

Two deep unfenced ponds on site are open to guests who want to fish, but they will need a rod licence, available from the Post Office, and a fishing pass, which can be added when booking online or bought from reception. The shop is 3 miles away, the pub 2.5 miles and the beach 5 miles. The yurt suits a couple who are happy to walk to the barn for a shower and cook in a shared kitchen.
