Waltham House

Waltham House is a Grade II listed townhouse in the old town of Lyme Regis, with a shop 0.2 miles away and a pub 0.1 miles away. The sitting room, reached from the entrance hall, has an original fireplace, a stone feature wall and picture windows. The kitchen and dining room are on the first floor, and the dining room has a double sofa bed.

Three bedrooms are on the second floor: a king-size, a twin and a children's bunk room. The house sleeps eight in total, counting the dining-room sofa bed. The second-floor bathroom has a bath with a shower over it, and there is a ground-floor wet room with a walk-in shower. Between floors there are some steep steps, which is worth weighing up before booking.

The basement holds a games room, and the house has two Smart TVs, a DVD player and a CD player. The kitchen has an electric oven, a grill and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a washing machine/tumble dryer. An electric stove-effect fire sits alongside gas central heating. A highchair and travel cot are provided, and WiFi is included.

Parking is not at the house. One permit is supplied for the Woodmead car park on Hill Road, within a 5 minute walk, with no allocated space and subject to availability. Up to three well-behaved dogs are welcome. Smoking is not allowed, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. It suits a family or a group of friends who are comfortable with steep steps and want the old town on the doorstep.
