Woodbury Meadow Barn

Woodbury Meadow Barn is a four-bedroom property in Sydling St Nicholas, near Dorchester, with Frampton nearby. It sleeps eight in four bedrooms, each with a zip-and-link bed made up as a super-king and its own en-suite bathroom with a shower, bath and WC. If you prefer twins, ask when booking. It suits two families, or a group of friends, who want an en-suite for every bedroom. Dogs are not allowed.

The lounge, kitchen and diner has an apex ceiling, exposed beams, oak flooring and French doors, and the underfloor heating runs throughout. A wood burner comes with a reasonable supply of logs, and more can be bought. The kitchen has a Rangemaster electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge freezer, a dishwasher and a Tassimo coffee machine. A utility room holds the washing machine and tumble dryer, plus a cloakroom with a WC. There are TVs in the lounge and in the bedrooms, and a travel cot and highchair are available on request.

The French doors lead to a private, enclosed, south-facing terrace with garden furniture and a BBQ (bring your own charcoal). An oak-framed open summerhouse across from the terrace has a table tennis table, seating and a fridge. The owner can arrange fly fishing on the privately owned 4-mile stretch of the River Frome, with equipment and an instructor, booked and paid for directly with them.

Off-road parking is ample. Electric vehicles cannot be charged at the property under any circumstances, and the nearest charging point is in Poundbury, about 6 miles away. The shop is 1 mile away, the pub 2.5 miles and the beach 11 miles. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is before 10am.
