À L’envers

À L'envers is a detached house for eight on the outskirts of Swanage, set high up with far-reaching views of the sea. The pub, the shop and the beach are all within 0.5 miles, and the South West Coast Path is a short way from the door. The four bedrooms are on the ground floor and the living space is on the first floor.

Downstairs are two king-size bedrooms, a double with its own sink and a wooden cot, and a twin that opens through French doors to the front terrace. There is a playroom with a sofa, a bathroom and a shower room, and a utility room with a washing machine, a tumble dryer and an extra WC. Upstairs, under a vaulted ceiling, are the lounge with a TV and a wood burner, a kitchen with a breakfast bar, and an extendable dining table.

A decked balcony with furniture leads off the lounge. There is also a terrace with a bistro set at the front and an enclosed garden at the rear with seating. The kitchen has an electric hob, a double oven, a dishwasher, two fridges, a freezer and a microwave. A welcome pack is provided, and a cot, highchair and stairgate are available; bring your own cot linen.

Private parking takes one car, with plenty of space on the street, and the driveway entrance is at most 2.33 metres wide. Electric vehicle charging is free; the cable is not attached, so bring your own lead. Two dogs are welcome, and additional charges may apply. A garage stores bikes and sports gear. The house suits two families, or a large group of friends who want bedrooms apart from the living space.
