Apple Tree Cottage - East Chaldon

Apple Tree Cottage is one of a pair of cottages down an unmade track in East Chaldon, near West Lulworth. Lulworth is 4 miles away and the coastal path 1.5 miles. The pub is 150 metres from the cottage and the shop 1.5 miles.

A stable door opens into the lounge, which keeps its exposed beams, window seats, a traditional wood burner and a bread oven in an inglenook; logs are included from October to the end of April. There is a Smart TV/DVD, a Bluetooth sound system and Wi-Fi. The kitchen/diner has underfloor heating, a double oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a washer/dryer and a dishwasher, and there is a ground-floor WC. Upstairs are a 5ft king-size bedroom, a double and a bunk room, plus a bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. Ceilings and doorways are low on the first floor, and the top bunk has restricted headroom and length.

The garden has a large lawn, fruit trees, roses and a terrace with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. A thatched games room holds a dartboard, a table tennis table and other games, and there is a Wendy house. Off-road parking is for two cars. Two dogs can come along; additional charges may apply. The cottage suits a family of up to six, or friends, who want outdoor space and a pub close by.
