Bricklesey Cottage

Bricklesey Cottage is a thatched cottage with white stone walls on the lane that runs down to Lulworth Cove, in West Lulworth. The pub and the shop are 100 yards away. The beamed sitting room and dining room both have Purbeck stone floors, and a second sitting room has a floor-to-ceiling window and an oak floor.

The kitchen has an oven and hob, a fridge, a freezer, a microwave, a washing machine and a dishwasher, and a utility room houses the drier. Wi-Fi broadband and a Smart TV are included, and heating is central. The fire is an electric flame-effect one, not a wood burner. Upstairs are three bedrooms with beams and oak floors: two doubles, one with an en-suite bathroom and slipper bath, and a twin. A second bathroom with a shower serves the other two bedrooms.

Outside, a small enclosed courtyard leads on to a steeply sloping lawn with a terrace and a pond, reached by gated steps. Parking is for one car off the road, with extra space in the Lulworth Cove pay and display car park opposite. Smoking is not allowed, and neither are dogs. Towels are included, but guests bring their own for the beach and pool. The cottage suits a family or group of up to six who like beams, cottage-style stairs and a short walk to the pub.
