Brownhill Cottage

Brownhill Cottage is a thatched house in West Lulworth, reached along a long private drive with livestock in the surrounding fields. The coast is a mile away, by a gate in the garden and a footpath. The shop, the pub and a restaurant are 300 metres away.

The main house has an open-plan living area with curved rooms, a large brick fireplace with an open fire, a large sofa and a Smart TV. The first basket of logs is supplied. The kitchen has an island and breakfast bar, a retro-style fridge/freezer, an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a dishwasher. On the ground floor are a double bedroom, a bunk room with two sets of 3ft bunks, of which only the lower bunks are made up, and a family bathroom. Upstairs a king-size bedroom sits under the eaves, with a shower room beside it; ceilings slope low in places.

Two outbuildings are reached by external steps. The Posh Shed has a sofa bed for one adult on request and a WC next door, and the room above the garage has a double and a single bed with an en-suite shower room. Outside are two patios with furniture, one sheltered and one open with views, and a sloping field with swings and a bench. Parking is ample and private. The garage is not available to guests, no BBQs are allowed because of the thatched roof, and a Ring doorbell is fitted. The house does not take dogs. A travel cot and a highchair can be had on request. The house suits a group of friends or an extended family who want several separate sleeping spaces.
