The Old Forge - West Lulworth

The Old Forge is a cottage in West Lulworth, 1 mile from Lulworth Cove. The pub is 325 metres away, the post office half a mile and the beach a mile. A hall with a piano under the stairs leads to the living and dining area, where a brick-enclosed wood burner is supplied with logs from October to the end of April and the table seats eight.

A sun room looks onto the garden, and the kitchen has farmhouse-style cupboards, an island, an oven and hob, a microwave, a toaster, a dishwasher and a Nespresso machine. The utility room has a washing machine, a drier, an ironing board and a mop and bucket. Apple TV with Netflix and a Bluetooth sound system are provided. On the ground floor are a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a twin, and a family bathroom with a freestanding bath. Upstairs are a double with an en-suite shower room and a twin with an en-suite bathroom, and both have reduced height at the eaves.

Outside, a terrace with patio furniture leads to steep steps up to three terraces with views of the Purbeck Hills, so the garden climbs sharply. Parking is on the street outside the property. Two dogs are welcome, and additional charges may apply. The cottage suits two families, or a group of friends, who want a bathroom for almost every bedroom.
