Christopher Cottage

Christopher Cottage is a contemporary house in West Lulworth, close to the beach at Lulworth Cove, with shops, pubs and the beach within walking distance. It is arranged over three floors, with the living space on the first floor and the bedrooms split between the ground and top floors.

On the ground floor are a double bedroom, a twin and the main bathroom, which has a shower over the bath. Stairs lead up to an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner. The lounge looks over the surrounding countryside and has a TV/DVD and an electric fire with a wood-burner effect. The kitchen has a double oven, an induction hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer and a dishwasher, and the table seats eight. The washing machine is kept separately, on the ground floor.

A further flight leads to the king-size main bedroom in the eaves, where headroom is reduced. It has an en-suite bathroom with a double-ended bath, a separate shower and a WC, and a second twin room is reached through it. French windows from the dining area open onto a patio and balcony with garden furniture, and a lawn beyond looks towards Hamburg Tout. The lawn is quite steep, so very young children need to be accompanied. A stairgate can be supplied. Parking is for two cars, plus a roadside slip road. The cottage takes one dog, with additional charges possible. The house suits a family or group of up to eight who don't mind stairs.
