Melstock

Melstock is a house for up to ten guests on the outskirts of West Lulworth, half a mile from the coastline. Double electric gates lead to a large parking area for five cars. The pub and shop are 350 metres away and the beach is half a mile.

The ground floor is an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner with floor-to-ceiling windows, a Smart TV and a kitchen island. The kitchen has a double oven, an induction hob, an instant hot water tap, an American-style fridge/freezer, a wine fridge, a Nespresso machine and a dishwasher. There is also a snug with a second Smart TV, a utility room with a washing machine, a dryer and a microwave, and a shower room. Underfloor heating, solar panels and an air source heat pump supply the heat.

Upstairs are four bedrooms, each with a super-king-size bed and an en-suite: one with a bath and separate shower, the others with showers. The first two share a balcony. One is a family room, with a bunk bed that has a single bunk over a double, and its bed can be made into twins on request. The wraparound garden has three unfenced shallow ponds linked by a stream, a seating area with a pool and table tennis table, a summer house up a steepish slope and a decked area. The house takes a maximum of 10 guests including infants, no stag or hen parties are allowed, and external cameras record for security. Dogs cannot stay. It suits two families or a group of friends who want an en-suite each.
