Chalross

Chalross is a house in Studland that sleeps ten across five bedrooms. Four are doubles, and two of those have 6ft beds that can be made up as twins on request. The fifth is a children's bunk room. The sandy beach is 0.5 miles away, the shop is 100 metres and the pub is 600 metres. The back gate opens onto a National Trust footpath.

Entry is up two steps. The lounge has a wood burner (the first basket of logs is included from October to the end of April), a TV with DVD player and shuttered bay windows. The open-plan kitchen/diner has a double oven, induction hob, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, breakfast bar and bi-fold doors to the garden. A utility room holds a washing machine and dryer. A children's playroom has a TV and a choice of books, games and toys.

Downstairs there is also a wet room with shower and WC. Upstairs, one double has a dressing room and an en-suite shower room, and there is a family bathroom with a bath, a separate shower and a WC. One of the doubles and the family bathroom have low sloping ceilings, and the en-suite has reduced head height in the eaves.

At the front are a gravelled parking area for up to four cars and a boules court. The back garden has an artificial lawn, paved paths, flower beds, seating areas (one with sea glimpses) and a BBQ. Two dogs are allowed but not upstairs, and additional charges may apply. The property may have a doorbell that records entry and exit. It suits a large family or two families who want a playroom and a garden.
