Heath Cottage

Heath Cottage is a semi-detached, ivy-covered cottage on heathland in Studland, with views of Poole Harbour. It dates from the 1920s and has a stone roof of local Purbeck stone and leaded windows. It sleeps five: one double bedroom and one triple, which comes with a cot. The front path leads towards the heath and a short walk to the beach, and the pub and shop are each 0.5 miles away.

Inside, the hall has a quarry tile floor and space for coats. The sitting and dining area has triple-aspect leaded windows, double doors to the garden and an inglenook-style fireplace with an open fire. Logs and coal are included from October to April, though kindling and firelighters are not. The room also has a selection of books, DVDs and board games. The kitchen has a cooker, fridge, microwave, washing machine, freezer and a larder. Electric radiators heat the whole cottage.

Both bedrooms and the bathroom are upstairs. The bathroom is compact and has a shower over the bath, a WC and a sink. There is also an additional WC outside. At the front is a small lawn. The rear garden is part-enclosed, with seating, a BBQ and views over farmland to the Purbeck Hills. The hedges have gaps that dogs can get through, and deer visit the garden. A detached, lockable garage comes with garden and beach toys and suits paddle boards, kayaks or bikes.

Two spaces are available for parking at the cottage. One dog is allowed, and additional charges may apply. The cottage suits a couple or small family, or a couple with a dog, as long as the gaps in the hedge are kept in mind.
