Little Ivy

Little Ivy is a thatched cottage in the middle of West Lulworth, listed Grade II and about 400 years old. It shares a wall with Ivy Cottage, and the two houses can be booked together if a bigger party needs both. The sleeping capacity is three, with a maximum of three people.

The layout is two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a single, and one bathroom with a bath, a hand-held shower, a basin and a WC. The main room combines a kitchen, a dining table and a sitting area with an electric fire. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge and a freezer. Gas central heating is fitted, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. A cot can be provided.

Outside, there is a garden with furniture, shared with Ivy Cottage and tended by a gardener every fortnight, who also needs to reach the outbuildings. The washing machine is shared and sits in an outhouse in that garden, about seven metres from the cottage. One small or medium car can park off the road, within a 5m by 2.25m space, and the closest public pay-and-display car park is Lulworth Cove, roughly 15 minutes on foot.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and The Castle Inn, a pet-friendly pub, is described as seconds from the door. Smoking is not allowed. The cottage suits a couple or a small family of up to three who travel with a dog and need only a single parking space.
