Lugger Lodge
Studio lodge for two on the edge of Harmans Cross, two dogs
Lugger Lodge stands on the outskirts of Harmans Cross, in a Purbeck village, about 3 miles from Swanage. Corfe Castle is 2 miles away, Wareham is 7 miles, and Studland is 6 miles along the coast. Harmans Cross station, on the steam railway between Swanage and Corfe Castle, is a short stroll down the road.
A gently sloping path leads up to the lodge, which is all on one level. Inside, a single open-plan room under a high vaulted ceiling holds the lounge, kitchenette, dining table and the bed, with a separate shower room and WC. The sofa and a table and chairs share the space, and the king-size bed is at the rear. The kitchenette has a sink, a two-ring hob, a combination microwave, grill and oven, a fridge with an ice box, a toaster and an electric kettle. The room has a Smart TV.
Outside is an enclosed garden with seating, and there is private off-road parking for one car. The nearest shop is 250 metres away, the pub is 2 miles off and the beach 3.5 miles, so a car is useful.
The lodge takes up to two dogs, and additional charges may apply. The lodge suits a couple, with or without dogs, who want a small base for country and coast walking.
