Ponsonby

Ponsonby is a large house in a small village just outside Swanage, about 0.5 miles from the town, with a shop and a pub within 200 metres. The beach in Swanage is 2 miles away. It sleeps ten across five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.

The entrance hall leads to a living room with a Smart TV, a kitchen and diner, and a garden room used for dining that faces the outdoor space. There is a utility room with a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a WC. The kitchen has a gas oven and hob, a fridge, a freezer, a microwave and a dishwasher.

The emperor-size bedroom is on the ground floor, with doors to a small patio and an en-suite bathroom containing a roll-top bath, a separate shower and a WC. It has an air conditioning unit. Upstairs are four more en-suite king-size bedrooms, two of which have zip-and-link beds that can become twins on request. There is a Smart TV in every bedroom.

The rear garden is fully enclosed, with an elevated patio, steps down to a lawn, garden furniture, a BBQ and a hot tub. Private parking takes four cars, and there is an EV charger operated by a pay-as-you-go app. A video doorbell sits at the front door and CCTV covers the outside of the building. Dogs are welcome, up to two, and additional charges may apply. The house suits a large family or two families sharing, with a ground-floor bedroom and en-suite for anyone who prefers to avoid the stairs.
